User Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Welcome to HoPosto. By using the platform you fully accept these Terms & Conditions.

1. What HoPosto is

HoPosto is a digital platform that allows users to find, compare and book services offered by local businesses. HoPosto provides only technological tools for search, booking, deposit payment and appointment management.

HoPosto handles only the booking of appointments (date, time and service) and does not process health-related data or other special categories of data under Article 9 GDPR. Notifications sent to customers are generic and do not disclose the nature of the service.

2. Registration

To use HoPosto you must: be at least 18 years old; provide accurate and up-to-date information; keep your access credentials confidential. The user is responsible for activities carried out through their account.

3. Bookings

The user may book the services available on the platform. The business is responsible for the actual availability of the service and for the correct performance of the appointment.

Some businesses, while remaining visible on the map and in the marketplace, may temporarily be "not bookable" through HoPosto (for example when they have exhausted their plan credits or are not active). In that case, no new bookings can be made with that business through the platform until it becomes available again.

Some businesses work in more than one location: the place of the service is the one shown in the booking summary and in the confirmation email, based on the day and time chosen.

4. Contract between customer and business

When a booking is made, the contract for the requested service is concluded exclusively between the user and the selected business. HoPosto is not a party to the contractual relationship and is not liable for the quality, availability or performance of the service.

5. Deposits

Some businesses may require a deposit to confirm the booking. Deposits are processed through Stripe Connect. HoPosto does not retain or use deposits for its own purposes.

6. User reliability

HoPosto uses an automatic reliability index based on behaviour recorded on the platform. The index may take into account: completed appointments; cancellations; late cancellations; no-shows; proper use of the platform.

7. Proper use

The following are prohibited: using false data; creating fraudulent multiple accounts; compromising the operation of the platform; using the platform for unlawful activities.

8. Artificial Intelligence

HoPosto may use artificial intelligence systems to generate statistics, suggestions and information, based on aggregated and anonymised data. Information generated by artificial intelligence consists of statistical processing and automated suggestions and is for informational purposes only: it does not constitute professional advice, and the user always retains full control over their own decisions.

9. Account suspension

HoPosto may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that show fraudulent behaviour.

10. Limitation of liability

HoPosto is not liable for: the services provided by businesses; disputes between users and businesses; any indirect damages; temporary service interruptions.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute relating to the interpretation or performance of these Terms shall be subject to the competent court under applicable law. For users who qualify as consumers, the consumer's forum applies, namely the place of residence or domicile of the consumer, pursuant to the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005).

12. Contacts

HoPosto is operated by Giuseppe Lopatriello, Via Atenisio Carducci 3, Taranto (TA), Italy — VAT 03490510736.

Deposit, Refund and Reliability Policy

Last updated: 26 August 2026

1. Deposits

Businesses may require a deposit to confirm a booking. Deposits are processed through Stripe Connect.

2. Deposit refund

Within 1 hour of booking (change of mind)

Full refund, unless check-in has already been performed.

More than 12 hours before the appointment

Full refund.

Between 12 and 4 hours before the appointment

50% refund. The cancellation may negatively affect the customer's reliability index.

Less than 4 hours before the appointment

No refund. The cancellation may negatively affect the customer's reliability index.

3. No-show

The Customer is considered absent if they do not show up within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. The business may report the no-show up to 15 minutes after the scheduled end time of the service. In the event of a no-show: the deposit may be retained by the business as a confirmatory deposit (caparra confirmatoria) serving a compensatory function under Article 1385 of the Italian Civil Code; the event is recorded; the customer's reliability index may decrease.

4. Cancellation by the business

The customer always receives a full refund of the deposit. The cancellation may negatively affect the business's reliability index.

4-bis. Closing a day by the business

The business may cancel, in a single operation, all bookings for a given day, for example in the event of an unexpected closure. In such case: the customers involved receive a full refund of the deposit and a notification, possibly accompanied by a message from the business; as for the plan credit, the same rule as for cancellation by the business (art. 8) applies: the credit is returned if the closure is communicated at least 24 hours in advance (the slot can be offered again), while it remains consumed if the closure occurs less than 24 hours before the appointment, since the booking service has in any case been provided by the platform. An occasional closure does not affect the business's reliability index; repeated or systematic closures may lead to checks and, where applicable, a reduction of the reliability index or account limitations.

5. Absence of the business

The customer may report the absence of the business from 15 to 45 minutes after the scheduled end time of the service. In the event of a valid report, the customer is entitled to a full refund of the deposit and the event affects the business's reliability index.

6. No report from either party

If neither party reports any issue within 2 hours of the scheduled end of the service, the service is deemed to have been completed regularly and the deposit is retained by the business.

7. Precedence of check-in

Check-in, which can be carried out via QR Code, security code, PIN or other systems made available by HoPosto, prevails over any cancellation, dispute, absence or no-show procedure and constitutes proof that the service has been performed.

8. Business plan booking credits

Each booking consumes one credit from the business's plan at the time of confirmation. The credit is returned to the business only when the cancellation occurs without its responsibility and without it retaining the deposit, namely: in the event of a customer cancellation with full refund (more than 12 hours in advance or change of mind within 1 hour), or in the event of a cancellation by the business at least 24 hours in advance. In all other cases (service performed, customer no-show, cancellation with deposit retained, absence of the business, late cancellation) the credit remains consumed. Closing a day by the business (art. 4-bis) follows this same rule: the credit is returned if communicated at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise it is consumed.

8-bis. Session packages

Businesses may offer session packages, i.e. a predetermined number of sessions of the same service at an overall price, with an expiry date indicated at the time of purchase.

Payment for the package is made directly at the business and remains outside the platform: HoPosto does not collect, process or hold such sums, and merely records the number of remaining sessions. The contract relating to the package is concluded exclusively between the Customer and the business, which is the only party liable for any refunds.

The Customer requests the package through the platform; sessions become bookable only after the business has confirmed receipt of payment. Each booking consumes one session.

Use and return of sessions

A session is returned when: the Customer cancels within 1 hour of booking (change of mind); the Customer cancels at least 4 hours before the appointment; the business cancels, at any time.

A session is deemed used when: the service is performed; the Customer does not show up; the Customer cancels less than 4 hours before the appointment. In such cases the business may nevertheless credit the session back at its own discretion; every movement is recorded on the platform.

Sessions not used by the indicated expiry date lapse, unless otherwise agreed with the business.

8-ter. Remote services

Businesses may indicate that a service is provided remotely, for example by video call or by telephone. No deposit is required for such services and check-in is not performed via QR Code, but through the validation code or PIN communicated by the Customer during the appointment.

Connection instructions are provided by the business and forwarded by the platform to the Customer in the confirmation and in reminders. HoPosto does not provide, manage or guarantee the communication tools used to deliver the service, nor is it liable for any malfunction attributable to them.

9. Reliability system

HoPosto uses automatic algorithms to generate a reliability index for users and businesses. The index may be influenced by: completed bookings; cancellations; no-shows; punctuality; behaviour recorded on the platform.

10. Use of the index

The index may influence: ranking; visibility; suggestions; access to certain features; exposure in the marketplace.

To protect businesses from no-shows, a Customer whose reliability index is particularly low (based on repeated no-shows or late cancellations) may have their booking requests subject to confirmation by the business before being accepted, rather than confirmed automatically. Maintaining a good index, by showing up for appointments or cancelling in advance, ensures immediate booking.

11. Changes

HoPosto reserves the right to periodically modify the criteria, formulas and parameters used to calculate reliability.

HoPosto food Terms (orders for pick-up)

Last updated: 9 October 2026

F1. What HoPosto food is

HoPosto food is the section of HoPosto that allows users to browse the menu of bars, restaurants, delis, pizzerias, bakeries, minimarkets and other outlets (the "venues") and to send an order to be picked up at the counter at a chosen time. HoPosto handles only the booking of the order (products, quantities and pick-up time): it does not sell, prepare, deliver or collect payment for anything. Matters not covered by this section are governed by the User Terms above.

F2. Contract and payment

The contract for the sale of the products is concluded exclusively between the user and the venue. Payment is made directly at the venue's counter upon pick-up, by the means accepted by the venue, which issues the relevant tax receipt. HoPosto does not receive, process or hold any sums relating to orders and charges no commission to either the user or the venue.

F3. Menu, prices and allergens

The menu, descriptions, photos, prices and availability of products are entered and updated by the venue, which is solely responsible for them. Information on ingredients and allergens is provided by the venue: users with allergies or intolerances are invited to check with the venue before ordering and upon pick-up. HoPosto does not check the composition, quality or safety of products.

F4. Sending, acceptance and cancellation of orders

The user chooses the products and a pick-up time slot among those available. The venue may accept or refuse the order and may limit the number of orders or products for each slot. Some venues, while visible on the Food map, may temporarily be "not orderable": in that case no new orders can be sent until the venue becomes available again.

The user may cancel the order from the app until the venue has accepted it. Once accepted, the order is being prepared and can no longer be cancelled through the platform. Since the products are food made to order or liable to deteriorate rapidly, the right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply (Art. 59(1)(c) and (d), Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005).

F5. Pick-up

Pick-up is possible only after the venue has marked the order as ready. The user confirms pick-up by scanning the venue's QR Code or by providing their PIN or order code. Confirmation of pick-up prevails over any subsequent report.

F6. Orders not picked up

If the user does not pick up an accepted order, the venue may report it as "not picked up". After 2 orders not picked up within 30 days, the user cannot send new orders on HoPosto food for 7 days; at the end of that period the ability to order is restored automatically. The suspension concerns HoPosto food only and does not affect service bookings.

A user who believes a report is wrong may dispute it by writing to support@hoposto.it: an unfounded report is cancelled together with its effects. The price of products not picked up is not charged through the platform; any claim by the venue concerns only the relationship between the venue and the user.

F7. Proper use

It is prohibited to send orders that the user does not intend to pick up, fictitious orders or nuisance orders. In case of abuse HoPosto may suspend access to HoPosto food pursuant to Art. 9.

F8. Liability

HoPosto is not liable for the preparation, quality, quantity, price, availability or food safety of products, for delays by the venue, or for disputes between user and venue. Reports about a venue may be sent to support@hoposto.it.
